Ariberto da Ficulle (L.Buzzanca), divenuto signore di un piccolo feudo grazie al matrimonio con la bruttissima Matilde di Montefiascone, esercita il suo potere tirannico imponendo assurde tasse e gabelle, ed escogitando per sé privilegi sempre nuovi. Fra i villici suoi sudditi, tenuti a bada dai castighi e da uno sparuto ma temibile plotone di mercenari tedeschi, soltanto l’intelligente e tenace Gandolfo (R. Montagnani) riesce a tenergli testa e a non piegarsi. Ariberto, per rivalersi sull’indomito suddito decide di infliggergli la più grande delle umiliazioni ripristinando lo “jus primae noctis”. Questa volta però i sudditi si ribellano. E con clamorosi risultati!

Ariberto da Ficulle (L.Buzzanca), who became lord of a small fief thanks to his marriage with the ugly Matilde di Montefiascone, exercises his tyrannical power by imposing absurd taxes and duties, and always devising new privileges for himself. Among his peasant subjects, kept at bay by punishments and by a small but fearful platoon of German mercenaries, only the intelligent and tenacious Gandolfo (R. Montagnani) manages to stand up to him and not to bend. Ariberto, to retaliate against his indomitable subject, decides to inflict the greatest of humiliations on him by restoring the “jus primae noctis”. This time, however, the subjects rebel. And with sensational results!
