Cesarino giunge al palazzo di Cleopatra per prestare servizio di guardia alla regina. Lo sprovveduto ignora che Cleopatra usa sedurre il soldato di picchetto per poi avvelenarlo. Ma proprio quella notte Cleopatra, per raggiungere di nascosto Marcantonio, si fa sostituire da una sosia. Cesarino non si accorge dello scambio e la mattina dopo si ripresenta dai commilitoni che si meravigliano nel vederlo ancora vivo. Rifacimento di “Cleopatra” 1912.

ENGLISH:
Cesarino arrives at Cleopatra’s palace to guard the queen. The unwary ignores that Cleopatra seduces the picket soldier and then poisons him. But just that night Cleopatra, in order to secretly reach Marcantonio, is replaced by a double. Cesarino does not notice the exchange and the next morning he returns to his fellow soldiers who are amazed to see him still alive. Remake of “Cleopatra” 1912..
