Innamorato perdutamente di una ragazza ricca, un giovane partenopeo fa finta di essere ricco, ma la menzogna non dura tanto, per fortuna anche la ragazza non è quello che sembra.

Ultimo giorno degli esami di maturità. Nino ed i suoi amici festeggiano la fine della scuola. Mentre qualcuno pensa già all’università, Nino progetta le vacanze estive insieme ad Anna, la ragazza di cui è innamorato. Anna va in vacanza a Taormina insieme all’amica Beatrice mentre Nino, non avendo soldi, parte con due amici, Pippo e Lucio. Nino si finge ospite di un hotel di lusso per far colpo su Anna e successivamente scommette con i suoi amici sulla conquista della ragazza, ignorando che il fratello di Beatrice, che nel mentre ascoltava tutto, ha anch’egli una cotta per Anna.

Nino riesce a vincere la scommessa e quindi a conquistare Anna, ma il fratello di Beatrice le rivela tutto e lei, indignata, si allontana da Nino che, per riconquistarla, fa grandi sforzi che, dopo molti tentativi, vanno a buon fine. Lucio si innamora di Beatrice e i due fanno coppia, mentre Nino ed Anna litigano. Dopo vari tentativi, Nino riesce a trovare Anna la quale gli rivela di aspettare un bambino e così alla fine i due tornano a Genova felici e contenti.

Lost in love with a rich girl, a young Neapolitan pretends to be rich, but the lie does not last long, luckily even the girl is not what it seems.

Last day of the final exams. Nino and his friends celebrate the end of school. While someone is already thinking about university, Nino plans the summer holidays together with Anna, the girl he is in love with. Anna goes on vacation to Taormina with her friend Beatrice while Nino, having no money, leaves with two friends, Pippo and Lucio. Nino pretends to be a guest of a luxury hotel to impress Anna and subsequently bets with his friends on the conquest of the girl, ignoring that Beatrice’s brother, who while listening to everything, also has a crush on Anna.

Nino manages to win the bet and therefore to conquer Anna, but Beatrice’s brother reveals everything to her and she, indignant, moves away from Nino who, to win her back, makes great efforts which, after many attempts, are successful. Lucio falls in love with Beatrice and the two become a couple, while Nino and Anna argue. After several attempts, Nino manages to find Anna who reveals to him that she is expecting a baby and so in the end the two return to Genoa happily ever after.
