Based on the novel by Ercole Patti, this 1969 film stars Gabriele Ferzetti and the beautiful Gina Lollobrigida. ‘Un Belissimo Novembre’ features a large Sicilian family whose patriarch is an advocate of self control and involves sex, gluttony, jealousy, operatic passions and greed. The music is radical and very different from what one would expect. Directed by Mauro Bolognini, this film evokes periods and locales like no other. A good watch!
