In punto di morte, Pantaleo, un nobile di provincia, decide di ritrovare i suoi tre gemelli
illegittimi per lasciar loro tutti suoi averi: l’impresa, però, non è facile perchè uno fa il clochard,
l’altro lavora in un circo come giocoliere e il terzo scrive testi di canzoni. Come prenderanno l’improvvisa ricchezza?

Nelle ultime volontà di un ricco signore defunto si legge che il testamento deve essere aperto davanti ai figli che egli ebbe da una illegittima relazione con una cavallerizza di circo equestre. Il notaio riesce ad identificare uno di tali figlioli: un vagabondo che è ospitato – loro malgrado – nella sontuosa casa dei presunti eredi. Costui, con l’aiuto di tre buone cuginette, riesce a trovare il suo gemello: un compositore di canzoni in gran voga, che è vittima di una esosa combriccola di sfruttatori. Anche il compositore è ospitato nella casa del defunto. Alla fine si viene a sapere che esiste un terzo gemello, il quale è identificato nella persona di un giocoliere da circo equestre. Dopo una serie di incidenti e di controversie, tutti gli eredi si accordano su una equa distribuzione dell’asse patrimoniale.

On his deathbed, Pantaleo, a provincial nobleman, decides to find his illegitimate triplets
to leave them all his assets. The task, however, is not easy because one is a homeless man,
the other works in a circus as a juggler, and the third writes song lyrics. How will they handle their sudden wealth?

The last will of a wealthy deceased gentleman states that the will must be opened before the children he fathered from an illegitimate relationship with a circus rider. The notary manages to identify one of these children: a vagabond who is staying—against their will—in the sumptuous home of the presumed heirs. With the help of three good-natured cousins, he manages to find his twin: a popular song composer who is the victim of a greedy gang of exploiters. The composer is also staying in the deceased’s home. Eventually, it is discovered that there is a third twin, identified as a circus juggler. After a series of incidents and disputes, all the heirs agree on an equitable distribution of the estate.
