“Totò di notte n. 1” è una commedia del 1962 diretta da Mario Amendola. La storia segue Ninì Cantachiaro (interpretato da Totò) e Mimì Makò (Erminio Macario), due musicisti ambulanti che, dopo aver ricevuto un’eredità, decidono di investire tutto per frequentare i migliori locali notturni del mondo. Tuttavia, i loro piani si trasformano in un disastro, portandoli a sperperare tutto il denaro e a tornare alla loro vita precedente di artisti di strada.

Un mix di comicità e satira, il film è una parodia dei “mondo movie” dell’epoca. Alcune scene sono state persino riutilizzate in “Totò Sexy”.

“Totò di notte n. 1” is a 1962 comedy directed by Mario Amendola. The story follows Ninì Cantachiaro (played by Totò) and Mimì Makò (Erminio Macario), two street musicians who, after receiving an inheritance, decide to invest it all in frequenting the world’s best nightclubs. However, their plans go awry, leading them to squander all their money and return to their former lives as street performers.

A mix of comedy and satire, the film parodies the “mondo movies” of the era. Some scenes were even reused in “Totò Sexy.”
