Giulia, che è costantemente divisa tra il bisogno di sentirsi a casa, amata e una selvaggia e sacrosanta voglia di libertà, si ritrova letteralmente in mezzo ad una strada e inizia, in maniera tutta sua, a cercare un rifugio e un posto nel mondo. Tra un illusorio desiderio di maternità e qualche espediente per sbarcare il lunario, passa i giorni più caldi di una torrida estate romana con dei personaggi dall’esistenza vuota, inafferrabili puri e meravigliosi come lei. In una sospensione fatta di niente (e di tutto) Giulia comprende che sta a lei decidere come vivere, o non vivere, la vita. Dal successo di Spaghetti Story, Ciro de Caro non fa che mettere alla prova il suo acuto talento. Per questa terza avventura cinematografica, il regista colloca la storia in un’epoca contemporanea caratterizzata da mascherine, gel igienizzanti, crisi economiche ma, soprattutto, crisi interiori. Presentato durante le Giornate degli Autori alla 78ª Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica di Venezia, 2 candidature ai Nastri d’Argento, vincitore del Premio speciale Nastri d’Argento – Fondazione Claudio Nobis.

Giulia, who is constantly torn between the need to feel at home, loved and a wild and sacrosanct desire for freedom, literally finds herself in the middle of a road and begins, in her own way, to seek refuge and a place in the world. Between an illusory desire for motherhood and some tricks to make ends meet, she spends the hottest days of a torrid Roman summer with characters with an empty existence, elusive, pure and wonderful like her. In a suspension made of nothing (and everything) Giulia understands that it’s up to her to decide how to live, or not to live, life. Since the success of Spaghetti Story, Ciro de Caro has been putting his sharp talent to the test. For this third cinematic adventure, the director places the story in a contemporary era characterized by masks, sanitizing gels, economic crises but, above all, inner crises. Presented during the Giornate degli Autori at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, 2 nominations for the Nastri d’Argento, winner of the special prize Nastri d’Argento – Fondazione Claudio Nobis.
