Sono passati 3 anni da quando Vanessa è andata via con Federico, lasciando Cagliostro in bilico tra la vita e la morte. Lei oggi frequenta l’Università in Slovenia, il Centro Studi di Parapsicologia e l’influenza che questa scuola ha sulla figlia, preoccupa la madre Eleonora che si rivolge a Cagliostro per chiedere aiuto. I rapporti tra Vanessa e Cagliostro però sembrano ormai chiusi per sempre. Intanto Anna ha vinto un concorso come giudice e insieme a sua figlia, si appresta a partire per Siena. Spera in fondo che la città possa essere una buona ripartenza per entrambe. Il commissario Paoletto invece si trova a fronteggiare non solo i problemi della città ma anche la scomparsa di Stella, l’amore della sua vita che inaspettatamente gli ha chiesto una pausa. Il destino però ha in serbo altro per ognuno di loro. Un black out improvviso, che causerà un grave incidente stradale, riporterà i personaggi ad indagare un’ultima volta, tutti nuovamente insieme.

It’s been 3 years since Vanessa left with Federico, leaving Cagliostro poised between life and death. Today she attends the University in Slovenia, the Parapsychology Study Center and the influence that this school has on her daughter worries her mother Eleonora who turns to Cagliostro for help. However, the relations between Vanessa and Cagliostro now seem closed forever. Meanwhile Anna has won a competition as a judge and together with her daughter, is preparing to leave for Siena. He hopes deep down that the city can be a good restart for both. Commissioner Paoletto, on the other hand, finds himself facing not only the problems of the city but also the disappearance of Stella, the love of his life who unexpectedly asked him for a break. But fate has something else in store for each of them. A sudden blackout, which will cause a serious car accident, will bring the characters back to investigate one last time, all together again.
