Eccoci qua. Saverio Lamanna, il nostro sbirro di penna, insieme allamata Suleima e al formidabile Piccionello, dovrà affrontare quattro nuovi casi di omicidio, che hanno al centro la terribile faida fra due sue ex fidanzate (Il fatto viene dopo), un mistero che affonda le radici nella tragica storia di Gibellina (La città perfetta), un antico amore di Marilù che viene ucciso nel corso di un festival letterario (Tutti i libri del mondo), un presunto incidente allinterno di un bellissimo centro termale (La segreta alchimia). Ma non saranno solo questi delitti a mettere alla prova il nostro Lamanna. Già, mai come adesso Saverio e Suleima scopriranno che lamore funziona proprio come la chimica: ci sono elementi che hanno una naturale capacità di attrarre e legarsi ad altri elementi, e quando lo fanno distruggono i precedenti legami con altre sostanze. Ed è così che larrivo di due nuovi personaggi, Michela e Giulio, rischia di trasformarsi in una catastrofe per i nostri due beniamini. Perché Michela, se non ci fosse Suleima, sarebbe davvero perfetta per Saverio. E Giulio, se non ci fosse Saverio, sarebbe davvero perfetto per Suleima. No? Michela e Giulio arrivano come amici, ma sono tuttaltro che amici. In questo pericoloso gioco di affinità elettive Peppe Piccionello, da vera Cassandra, sarà il solo a vederci chiaro fin dallinizio. Riuscirà a impedire che avvenga lirreparabile?

Here we are. Saverio Lamanna, our pen cop, together with his beloved Suleima and the formidable Piccionello, will have to deal with four new murder cases, which center on the terrible feud between two of his ex-girlfriends (The fact comes later), a mystery that has its roots in the tragic story of Gibellina (The perfect city), an old love of Marilù who is killed during a literary festival (All the books in the world), an alleged accident inside a beautiful spa (The secret alchemy). But these crimes will not be the only ones to test our Lamanna. Yes, Saverio and Suleima will discover more than ever that love works just like chemistry: there are elements that have a natural ability to attract and bind to other elements, and when they do so they destroy previous bonds with other substances. And so the arrival of two new characters, Michela and Giulio, risks turning into a catastrophe for our two favorites. Because Michela, if Suleima weren’t there, would be perfect for Saverio. And Giulio, if Saverio weren’t there, would be perfect for Suleima. No? Michela and Giulio arrive as friends, but they are anything but friends. In this dangerous game of elective affinities, Peppe Piccionello, a true Cassandra, will be the only one to see clearly from the beginning. Will he be able to prevent the irreparable from happening?
