Nel cuore dell’Umbria, un parroco dall’innato talento per le indagini collabora con i Carabinieri svelando intrighi e scagionando sospetti. Oltre ai casi da risolvere però ci sono i conflitti, gli amori e le gag degli amici che ospita in canonica.

Un testimone chiave di un processo ha deciso di raccontare tutto, ma prima di farlo si ritira in convento per riflettere sulla sua scelta. Nello stesso convento si trova anche Don Matteo che, quando l’uomo viene trovato morto, viene spinto dal Vescovo ad aiutare nelle indagini.

In the heart of Umbria, a parish priest with an innate talent for investigations collaborates with the Carabinieri, revealing intrigues and clearing suspicions. In addition to the cases to be resolved, however, there are the conflicts, loves and gags of the friends he hosts in the rectory.

A key witness in a trial has decided to tell everything, but before doing so he retires to the convent to reflect on his choice. In the same convent there is also Don Matteo who, when the man is found dead, is pushed by the Bishop to help in the investigation.
