The Criminal Institute for Minors welcomes new girls and boys, including from regions other than Campania. Friendship and love take place, soothe the pain of segregation and also warm the hearts of adults, so far intent on playing their role of controlling and combating crime, then involved by unexpected events that force them to get involved. Rosa Ricci is at the heart of the dynamics of season five – she is alone and must “obey” her father, carry on her role as head of the clan. She then seeks alliances that create cohesive and cruel female leadership. But her heart is tormented and a twist makes her falter, reproposing the anguish of having to choose between good and evil. A choice that also invests all the other protagonists, to the point of making the fate of some appear inexorably marked inexorably. All the kids in IPM share, deep down, a desire to get out of the spirals of violence that have marked their lives.
