Benedetta Rossi se lo chiede a ogni libro, non ama ripetersi e la scrittura è una questione tutta sua, lì non si fa aiutare da nessuno: Benvenuti in casa mia è il settimo, volato subito, come tutti gli altri, in testa alla top ten (Mondadori Electa, pp. 336, € 19.90). La risposta è arrivata prestando ascolto «alle sue signore» (che poi dietro a quel «signore» c’è un esercito da 15 milioni di follower di ogni età): risparmiare tempo e denaro, se si può, senza perdere di vista la qualità e il risultato. E allora ecco tante nuove ricette che non hanno bisogno di ingredienti costosi per essere messe in tavola anche in un’occasione speciale (cosa non si prepara con una operazione «svuota frigo» ben fatta!) e che spesso non si devono nemmeno cuocere. Oppure ne propone diverse: tradizionale, forno, friggitrice ad aria, pentola fornetto (usata dalle nonne, è una sua grande passione).
Accanto alle idee per aperitivi e spuntini, pranzi e cene per tutti i gusti, (come sempre ogni passaggio è descritto nei dettagli per non lasciare indietro nessuno) questa volta Benedetta «esplora» fino in fondo la casa, consigliando come ottimizzare l’uso degli elettrodomestici e i consumi per contenere i costi delle bollette di luce, gas e acqua, e si spinge fino all’autoproduzione. In fondo non è indispensabile avere un grande orto per coltivare piccole quantità di ortaggi o le piante aromatiche, bastano un balconcino e un po’ di fantasia. E poi non si butta via niente! Con l’olio d’oliva troppo vecchio da consumare si possono fare dei meravigliosi saponi, da decorare o profumare in mille modi diversi.
Il segreto di tanto successo? Benedetta Rossi è proprio così come la si vede in tv. L’amica della porta accanto, cui chiedere un po’ di zucchero quando è finito o fare assaggiare la torta venuta particolarmente bene. E poi, in un mondo in cui tutto pare difficile e urlato, con toni pacati e rassicuranti lei rende tutto informale, semplice e accessibile, a tutti. E non è poco!

The answer came by listening to “your ladies” (and behind that “gentleman” there is an army of 15 million followers of all ages): save time and money, if you can, without losing sight of quality is the result. So here are many new recipes that don’t need expensive ingredients to be put on the table even on a special occasion (what can’t be prepared with a well-done “empty the fridge” operation!) and that often don’t even have to be cooked. Or he offers different ones: traditional, oven, air fryer, pot oven (used by grandmothers, it is a great passion of his).
Alongside ideas for aperitifs and snacks, lunches and dinners for all tastes (as always, each step is described in detail so as not to leave anyone behind) this time Benedetta “explores” the house to the full, advising on how to optimize the use of the appliances and consumption to contain the costs of electricity, gas and water bills, and goes as far as self-production. After all, it is not essential to have a large vegetable garden to grow small quantities of vegetables or aromatic plants, a small balcony and a little imagination are enough. And then nothing is thrown away! With olive oil that is too old to consume, you can make wonderful soaps, to decorate or perfume in a thousand different ways.
The secret of so much success? Benedetta Rossi is just as you see her on TV. The friend next door, to whom you can ask for some sugar when it’s finished or make you taste the cake that turned out particularly well. And then, in a world where everything seems difficult and shouted out, with calm and reassuring tones she makes everything informal, simple and accessible to everyone. And that’s no small thing!
