Gianni Raimondi è un cantante agli inizi della carriera: sposato da poco con Laura, fatica ad ottenere un successo tale che gli permetta di far fronte alle spese che una vita coniugale comporta. La grande occasione professionale arriva quando l’impresario Giuseppe “José” Da Costa, italiano trapiantato in Brasile, gli propone di esibirsi in una serie di concerti a Rio de Janeiro. Nel frattempo, Maria, la figlia dell’impresario, si innamora di Gianni, il quale non è del tutto indifferente al fascino della ragazza, mentre Laura, rimasta in Italia, scopre di aspettare un bambino.

Chimera è uno dei tanti film musicarelli degli anni sessanta un amore rincorso e realistico di tanti militari che rincorrevano le donne di servizio che molte volte riuscivano anche a realizzare i propri sogni sposandosi e molti rimanevano promesse di militare congedato

Gianni Raimondi is a singer at the beginning of his career: recently married to Laura, he struggles to obtain such a success that allows him to meet the expenses that a married life entails. The great professional opportunity comes when the impresario Giuseppe José Da Costa, an Italian transplanted to Brazil, offers him to perform in a series of concerts in Rio de Janeiro. Meanwhile, Maria, the impresario’s daughter, falls in love with Gianni, who is not entirely indifferent to the girl’s charm, while Laura, who has remained in Italy, discovers she is expecting a baby.

Chimera is one of the many musical films of the sixties a chased and realistic love of many soldiers who chased after the service women who often managed to realize their dreams by getting married and many remained promises of a discharged soldier
