Questo spettacolo parla di due persone apparentemente molto diverse, che trovano comunque un terreno comune in cui si rendono conto di essere perfette l’una per l’altra. Né il ragazzo ricco e civettuolo era così cattivo come volevano farlo sembrare, né la ragazza che sceglieva così male i suoi fidanzati e con la sua serie di sfortuna era così perdente. È ciò che amo di questo show, loro due si completano a vicenda e nessuno dei due è più dell’altro.

Episode 1

L’incontro. O meglio, gli incontri. Dopo il taxi arriva il bar. E al bar una certa piccoletta si ubriaca. Quindi un Özgür tormentato deve prendersi cura di lei durante la notte. Come se ciò non bastasse, sono vicini di casa! Quindi finalmente si presentano e iniziano a comportarsi come persone normali. Ma tutto questo finisce quando Özgür fa una proposta del tutto inaspettata a Ezgi.

Episode 2

Dopo un sonoro rifiuto, e un incubo delirante, Ezgi accetta finalmente la proposta di Özgür, che inizia a fornirgli i suoi servizi come consulente sentimentale. Un pomeriggio al parco e un altro pomeriggio a fare shopping, avvicinano la coppia, che inizia ad essere una sorta di amicizia. Anche se ciò non impedisce loro di litigare come il cane e il gatto. Nella misura in cui decidono di abbandonare l’accordo.

Episode 3

Il destino insiste nel volerli far incontrare, poiché Ezgi è la persona che il migliore amico di Özgür ha assunto per gestire il nuovo ristorante. Özgür rifiuta categoricamente, ma nonostante i litigi, di notte finisce per prendersi cura di Ezgi ubriaco. Alla fine l’affare rinasce e l’attrazione tra i due è sempre più evidente.

Episode 4

C’è un “piccolo” incidente con la barca su cui stavano navigando nel pomeriggio e Özgür ed Ezgi finiscono per passare la notte su un’isola deserta, ad eccezione di una capra. Anche se al mattino ricevono più visitatori e non proprio amichevoli come la capra. Dopo una dura fuga, arrivano in tempo per la cerimonia dell’henné della sorella di Özgür, che si sposerà il giorno successivo.

Episode 5

Arriva il giorno del matrimonio della sorella di Özgür e il motivo dell’accordo tra i due. Succede che quello che era iniziato come uno scambio di favori, sta diventando qualcosa di più, perché entrambi provano una certa gelosia quando vedono l’altro ballare con altre coppie. Continuano anche con il loro divertente tiro alla fune, Özgür è sfacciato ed Ezgi un po’ brontolante. Dopo una giornata disastrosa in spiaggia, la coppia torna a Istanbul, ma è chiaro che nulla sarà più come prima.

Episode 6

Özgür ed Ezgi iniziano la loro relazione come capo e dipendente. Ezgi è disposta a portare avanti i suoi progetti matrimoniali e incontra il medico, ma quando l’appuntamento viene annullato, trascorre una bella cena con il suo “capo”. Anche se i due cercano di andare avanti con la sua vita come al solito, sta diventando sempre più difficile da entrambe le parti, soprattutto quando i genitori di Ezgi la incoraggiano a perseguire ciò che vuole.

Episode 7

Il ristorante di Özgür, La Gabbia, festeggerà una serata latina. E il suddetto finisce per essere l’insegnante di tango di Ezgi che vuole ballare con il dottore dopo la delusione avuta la sera prima quando era andato a parlare con Özgür. Ma tanto per cambiare, se il destino insiste nel far incontrare il nostro partner, insiste anche nel lasciare da parte il medico, che non arriva in tempo all’appuntamento. La sua danza sensuale, però, finisce accidentalmente quando sulla scena appare l’ex di Ezgi

Episode 8

Alla fine Özgür confessa i suoi sentimenti al suo migliore amico. Anche Ezgi, dal canto suo, sembra averlo già abbastanza chiaro. Ma l’arrivo improvviso delle madri impedisce loro di parlare con calma. Con la madre di Özgür continuano la farsa, ma i genitori di Ezgi non hanno altra scelta che confessare che la loro relazione non è mai stata vera. Tuttavia, alla fine, cadono nella loro stessa trappola.

Episode 9

La tortilla è stata ribaltata: Özgür ed Ezgi stanno finalmente insieme, ma ora devono mentire a tutti facendo credere che non è così. Ciò che dà origine a nuove situazioni folli. Tutto si complica ancora di più quando il medico tende una trappola a Özgür, facendogli credere che esista una relazione tra lui e Ezgi, cosa che spinge il nostro protagonista a prendere una decisione drastica.

Episode 10

Quando Özgür si rende conto di aver commesso un errore fino in fondo, va a cercare Ezgi per scusarsi. Ma questo lo manda a friggere le scimmie. Sono i suoi genitori a dirle che non potrà nascondersi lì per tutta la vita e che inseguirà i suoi sogni professionali. E lo fa quando riceve un’offerta al telefono. In questo episodio appare il miglior cattivo di tutti: Tolga, cugino di Özgür!

Episode 11

Özgür ed Ezgi, ora, iniziano la loro vita di coppia, dopo aver trascorso la prima notte insieme. E né i trucchi di Tolga né quelli del dottore riescono a separarli. Inoltre, le famiglie di entrambi iniziano ad avvicinarsi alle posizioni, anche se con riluttanza. Ezgi decide di lasciare il lavoro, apprendendo di essere stata usata dal cugino di Özgür. Ma questo non si arrende così facilmente.

Episode 12

Felice della sua nuova vita con Ezgi, Özgür accetta il ricatto di Tolga per proteggere la sua amata, poiché ritiene che non ci sia niente più importante di lei. Concentrandosi sul suo nuovo ristorante, organizza una festa di inaugurazione della casa in cui le due famiglie finalmente seppelliscono l’ascia di guerra. Ma quella che si preannunciava una serata perfetta si conclude in modo del tutto inaspettato.

Episode 13

Özgür ed Ezgi vengono rilasciati e Özgür si propone di chiarire tutto il pasticcio con il suo migliore amico. Spera in questo modo di sbarazzarsi di Tolga. Nel frattempo qualcuno sta sabotando il suo nuovo ristorante con l’intento di spaventare i clienti. Come se non bastasse, ora il medico dice a Ezgi che vuole riscattarsi e aiutarlo a smascherare il cugino di Özgür e i suoi trucchi.

Episode 14. The last one

Piuttosto che raccontarvi cosa succede in quest’ultimo episodio, preferisco darvi la mia opinione sulla serie. Bay Yanlış, o come è stata chiamata qui in Spagna. “The Wrong Man” è una serie solida, al livello di qualsiasi commedia romantica di Hollywood. Le sue trame sono leggere, anche i personaggi che all’inizio sembravano un po’ grassi, finiscono per essere piacevoli. La coppia principale è moderna, si trattano con rispetto, senza gelosie o stupidi litigi. La sceneggiatura è agile, non c’è stato un solo episodio noioso. E forse proprio per questo si è riusciti a chiudere l’ultimo ed inaspettato episodio in maniera “soddisfacente” (lo metto tra virgolette, perché le trame secondarie sono rimaste un po’ nell’aria). È stato risolto rapidamente, sì. Ma il fatto è che, dopotutto, l’intera serie era stata così.

Insomma, “The Wrong Man” con Can Yaman e Özge Gúrel è altamente raccomandato.

This show is about two apparently very different people, who still find a common ground in where they realize that they’re perfect for each other. Neither the rich and flirtatious boy was as bad as they wanted to make him look like, nor the girl who chose her boyfriends so badly and with her streak of bad luck was such a loser. It’s what I love about this show, the two of them complement each other and neither is more than the other.

Episode 1

The encounter. Or rather, the encounters. After the taxi, the bar arrives. And at the bar, a certain little person gets drunk. So a troubled Özgür has to take care of her overnight. As if this weren’t enough, they happen to be neighbors! So they finally show up and start behaving like normal people. But all this comes to an end when Özgür makes a totally unexpected proposal to Ezgi.

Episode 2

After a resounding refusal, and a delusional nightmare, Ezgi finally accepts Özgür’s proposal, who begins to provide him with his services as a sentimental consultant. One afternoon in the park and another afternoon shopping, they bring the couple closer together, who begin to be something like friends. Although that does not prevent them from fighting like the dog and the cat. To the extent that they decide to leave the deal.

Episode 3

Fate insists on continuing to bring them together, as Ezgi is the person Özgür’s best friend has hired to run the new restaurant. Özgür flatly refuses, but despite the fights, he ends up taking care of a drunk Ezgi at night. In the end, the deal stands up again, and the attraction between the two is increasingly obvious.

Episode 4

There is a “little” incident with the boat they were sailing in in the afternoon and Özgür and Ezgi end up spending the night on a desert island, except for a goat. After a rugged escape, they arrive in time for Özgür’s sister’s Henna ceremony, who is getting married the next day.

Episode 5

The day of the wedding of Özgür’s sister arrives and the reason for the deal between the two. What happens is that what started as an exchange of favors, is becoming something more, because both feel some jealousy when they see the other dancing with other couples. They also continue with their funny tug of war, Özgür being a cheeky and Ezgi a bit grumbling. After a disastrous day at the beach, the couple return to Istanbul, but it is clear that nothing will be as before.

Episode 6

Özgür and Ezgi begin their relationship as boss and employee. Ezgi is willing to continue with her marriage plans and meets the doctor, but when the appointment is canceled, she spends a nice dinner with her “boss”. Although the two of them try to move on with her life as usual, it is becoming increasingly difficult on both sides, especially when Ezgi’s parents encourage her to go after what she wants.

Episode 7

Özgür’s restaurant, La Gabbia, is going to celebrate a Latin night. And the aforementioned ends up being Ezgi’s tango teacher who wants to dance with the doctor after the disappointment he got the night before when he went to talk to Özgür. But for a change, if destiny insists on bringing our partner together, it also insists on leaving aside the doctor, who does not arrive on time for the appointment. His sensual dance, however, ends accidentally when Ezgi’s ex appears on the scene.

Episode 8

At last Özgür admits his feelings to his best friend. Ezgi, on her side, also seems to have it already quite clear. But the sudden arrival of their mothers prevents them from speaking calmly. With Özgür’s mother they continue with the charade, but Ezgi’s parents have no choice but to confess that their relationship was never true. However, at the end of the day, they fall into their own trap.

Episode 9

The tortilla has been turned around: Özgür and Ezgi are finally together, but now they have to lie to everyone by making them believe that they are not. What gives rise to new crazy situations. Everything gets even more complicated when the doctor sets a trap for Özgür, making him believe that there is a relationship between Ezgi and him, which pushes our protagonist to make a drastic decision.

Episode 10

When Özgür realizes that he has screwed up to the bottom, he goes looking for Ezgi to apologize. But this she sends him to fry monkeys. It is her parents who tell her that she cannot hide there all her life and she is going to pursue her professional dreams. And she does that when she gets an offer over the phone. The best baddie of all appears in this episode: Tolga, Özgür’s cousin!

Episode 11

Özgür and Ezgi, now, are beginning their life as a couple, after spending their first night together. And neither Tolga’s tricks nor the doctor’s manage to separate them. In addition, the families of both begin to approach positions, albeit reluctantly. Ezgi decides to quit her job, learning that she has been used by Özgür’s cousin. But this one doesn’t give up so easily.

Episode 12

Happy in his new life with Ezgi, Özgür agrees to Tolga’s blackmail to protect his beloved, since he considers that there is nothing more important than her. Focusing on his new restaurant, he throws a housewarming party where the two families finally bury the hatchet. But what promised to be a perfect evening ends in a totally unexpected way.

Episode 13

Özgür and Ezgi are released, and Özgür sets out to clear up the whole mess with his best friend. He hopes in this way to get rid of Tolga. Meanwhile, someone is sabotaging his new restaurant with the intention of scaring away customers. As if that weren’t enough, now the doctor tells Ezgi that he wants to redeem himself and help him unmask Özgür’s cousin and his tricks.

Episode 14. The last one

Rather than tell you what happens in this last episode, I prefer to give you my opinion about the series. Bay Yanlış, or as it has been called here in Spain. “The Wrong Man” is a solid series, on the level of any Hollywood romantic comedy. Its plots are light, even the characters that fell a little fat at first, end up being pleasant. The main couple is modern, they treat each other with respect, without jealousy or stupid fights. The script is agile, there was not a single boring episode. And maybe that’s why it was possible to close the last and unexpected episode in a “satisfactory” way (I put it in quotation marks, because the secondary plots did remain a bit in the air). It was resolved quickly, yes. But it is that after all, the whole series had been like that.

In short, “The Wrong Man” with Can Yaman and Özge Gúrel is highly recommended.
