Gli studenti della 5^ B sono chiamati a sostenere la maturità e ad affrontare le incognite del futuro. Come sempre il prof Balestra (Alessandro Gassmann) cerca di aiutarli con gli insegnamenti dei grandi filosofi del passato. Nella vita privata Dante affronta nuove sfide: la sua ex moglie Floriana ha deciso di dare in affitto la villa, e lui e Simone (Nicolas Maupas) sono stati costretti a trasferirsi a casa di nonna Virginia (Pia Engleberth). Simone ha vissuto male il trasferimento e rinfaccia al padre la separazione da Mimmo. A complicare le cose cè la vita sentimentale di Dante, come sempre turbolenta. . Anche a scuola ci sono stati grandi cambiamenti: la preside Smeriglio si è trasferita al nord per motivi di famiglia e al suo posto, con grande sorpresa di Dante, arriva Irene Alessi (Nicole Grimaudo), con la quale poco tempo prima ha avuto unavventura. Irene è anche la madre di Greta (Giulia Fazzini), una nuova alunna del prof Balestra che sconvolge gli equilibri della classe. La novità più sorprendente, però, riguarda la nuova e inaspettata supplente di Inglese: Anita. Il suo arrivo a scuola è un tornado che investe soprattutto Dante: tra i due è un continuo punzecchiarsi, sfidarsi e attrarsi, per poi respingersi. Tutto diventerà esplosivo quando Anita si avvicinerà al nuovo professore di Fisica, Leone Rocci (Dario Aita), docente giovane e brillante che è stato studente di Dante molti anni prima. Ben presto appare chiaro che qualcosa li ha divisi, nel passato. Qualcosa di cui nessuno dei due ha voglia di parlare, ma che, prima o poi, entrambi saranno costretti ad affrontare.

The students of Class 5B are called upon to take their final exams and face the uncertainties of the future. As always, Professor Balestra (Alessandro Gassmann) tries to help them with the teachings of the great philosophers of the past. In his private life, Dante faces new challenges: his ex-wife Floriana has decided to rent out the villa, and he and Simone (Nicolas Maupas) have been forced to move to his grandmother Virginia’s (Pia Engleberth) house. Simone has taken the move badly and blames his father for his separation from Mimmo. Complicating matters is Dante’s love life, as turbulent as ever. There have also been big changes at school: Principal Smeriglio has moved up north for family reasons, and in her place, much to Dante’s surprise, comes Irene Alessi (Nicole Grimaudo), with whom he had an affair not long before. Irene is also the mother of Greta (Giulia Fazzini), a new student of Professor Balestra’s who disrupts the classroom. The most surprising news, however, concerns the new and unexpected substitute English teacher: Anita. Her arrival at school is a tornado that especially affects Dante: the two are constantly teasing, challenging, and attracting, only to then repel each other. Everything will become explosive when Anita becomes close to the new Physics teacher, Leone Rocci (Dario Aita), a young and brilliant professor who was a student of Dante’s many years ago. It soon becomes clear that something has divided them, in the past. Something neither of them wants to talk about, but which, sooner or later, both will be forced to face.
