Durante il servizio militare una recluta è presa di mira dal suo tenente (che ritiene il ragazzo, a torto, causa della sua mancata promozione). Ma il soldato non si fa piegare.

Con “Soldati – 365 all’alba” Marco Risi ha realizzato uno dei suoi lavori più riusciti: un felice impasto di commedia e dramma in cui momenti lievi si alternano a punte di tensione, con un finale sospeso davvero coraggioso. Oggi che il servizio militare non è più obbligatorio, il film diventa, per certi versi, un documento storico. Ma più del ritratto di un’epoca, rimane la pluralità di voci: un coro di umori, e talvolta dolori, che restituisce allo spettatore il senso di un’esperienza individuale e collettiva insieme.

Claudio Scanna è un soldato semplice dell’esercito italiano: durante la sua prima notte in una nuova base militare, si scontra con alcune reclute di grado superiore. Al tenente Fili, comandante di Claudio, viene negata una promozione perché i suoi superiori scoprono che si era assentato ingiustificatamente durante la notte dello scontro. Fili incolpa Claudio e giura di rendere i suoi restanti mesi di servizio un vero inferno…

During his military service, a recruit is targeted by his lieutenant (who wrongly believes the boy is the cause of his failed promotion). But the soldier does not give in.

With “Soldiers – 365 at Dawn” Marco Risi has created one of his most successful works: a happy mix of comedy and drama in which light moments alternate with peaks of tension, with a truly courageous suspended ending. Today, when military service is no longer mandatory, the film becomes, in some ways, a historical document. But more than the portrait of an era, what remains is the plurality of voices: a chorus of moods, and sometimes pain, that gives the viewer the sense of an individual and collective experience at the same time.

Claudio Scanna is a private in the Italian army: during his first night in a new military base he gets in a fight with senior recruits. Lieutenant Fili, Claudio’s commanding officer, is denied a promotion because his superiors discover he was absent without justification during the night of the fight. Fili blames Claudio and vows to make his remaining months in the service a living hell…
